Elevate
The ELEVATE project is an international, transnational project whose consortium consists of 17 partners and 13 associated strategic partners from 11 Danube Region countries. From Hungary, Nyugat-Pannon Nonprofit Kft. is the sole project partner, while its associated strategic partners are the Ministry of Public Administration and Regional Development and the Táj-Kapocs Foundation.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen cooperation between actors in the public, private, and civil sectors in order to create more inclusive communities. The project pays special attention to the active involvement of elderly people and persons with disabilities in community life, thereby reducing the pressure on social security systems primarily posed by an aging society, migration, and climate change.
To foster inclusive development, the project works on creating bottom-up, collaborative solutions together with those most affected by the aforementioned issues—in line with the motto "nothing about us without us." Elderly people and persons with disabilities will actively participate in designing solutions that improve their access to services and enhance their social participation. In parallel, local businesses can also contribute to the development of socially responsible programs.
The solutions will be tested in 12 areas across the Danube Region, including the operational area of Nyugat-Pannon Nonprofit Kft., where the goal is to implement intergenerational programs involving both the elderly and youth.
The project brings together various organizations, businesses, and individuals belonging to disadvantaged groups. Together, we develop solutions that benefit the entire community. Through awareness campaigns and public events, our goal is to engage the wider public and promote inclusive development in our region.
Through the ELEVATE project, we aim to support communities in the Danube Region to become more inclusive and better prepared for future challenges. Inclusive and accessible communities will be key to a just transition toward a green and digital economy, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Furthermore, the project promotes the development of sustainable development plans that local communities can continue to utilize in the coming years—thereby aiming to achieve long-term, positive changes for all residents of the Danube Region.
